First of all hello, my name is Maria and I am in the process of becoming a biomedical engineer. I have learned many things through out high school and now. I’m talking about the little things no one talks about like what TAFSA is or the fact that you can go to two colleges at once! I always make sure to learn from my mistakes so that my little sister doesn’t repeat them. But then, one day I thought, “Wow, what if I help more people!?” Furthermore, when I was looking for tips on becoming a BME I didn’t find many things which means there isn’t much out there about the career. And that’s pretty much what sparked this blog idea.
I want to share my experience as I become a Biomedical Engineer from the moment I started to apply to colleges to the moment I work for the army (well I hope that happens in the future) so you can learn all the tips and tricks I will acquire.
Despite my focus for BMEs, many topics I cover can apply to any engineering career since majority of the time I will be covering how to handle life as an engineering student. I like to think of this as a blog about becoming an engineer and the life that can potentially come with it, but with an emphasis in the Biomedical Engineering career. With that said, there will be times where I will write things that are not necessarily related to my major because well its actually fun for me! Of course, I hope you enjoy this little project of mine with me, and thank you for your time.
